What have I been up to? {personal}

It seems since I have started my photography business I don't post many personal pictures (or even take as many) on my blog anymore :(
I finally got around to editing a few of my personal pictures and thought I would share a few.
I just finished a glorious 3 weeks of vacation from my nursing job and had a wonderful time hanging out with friends and enjoying our beautiful city. The weather for the most part was awesome, I love it hot hot hot and even hotter. Sure sleeping in the heat isn't all that great, but I think it is a small price to pay. I love going to the beach and being outside as much as possible.

My friend and I did a great 5 hour hike to the top of Seymour Mountain in Vancouver. It was so beautiful! Here is a shot of some snow still hanging around on the Mountain during our hike.

This is the view from the top. The picture doesn't do it any justice at all because of the haze,but we had a 360 degree view of the entire city of Vancouver and beyond. I really do believe that Vancouver is the most beautiful city ever!

Another day I went for a great walk with another friend around Vancouver. We thought it might be a good idea to take my little dogs for a walk around Stanley Park's seawall, but it became quite evident early on that my 1 inch legged dogs would not be able to do it in the heat, so we walked a bit around the one end of the seawall and then all around English Bay and through False Creek back into downtown. We had an awesome lunch at a little cafe in False Creek. I thought it would be a good idea to give Shelly Isa to walk because she is the better walker of my two rugrats, but actually she was the lazier of the 2 and Shelly had to carry her a good portion of the way, lol. I guess this is why Isa is overweight! We went to a little section of the beach for dogs, Isa found a small patch of shade in Shelly's shadow and rested while Katie played in the water.

Last night we had a thunder and lightning storm that lasted forever! I grabbed my camera and patiently waited and snapped about 50 shots to get a handful that actually had lightning in them! It is hard, you have to be so quick with your finger!

I have more to edit yet, will try to get some posted later. Ciao.
